Supporting the community can be challenging, and we would always want to do more, but sometimes resources do not always allow us to.
With the Covid-19 pandemic majorly impacting all of our lives in different ways, it has had a huge effect throughout all Communities and how we try and support them.
The continued uncertainty, not knowing when we may be able to eradicate the effects of Covid-19, and get back to some sort of normality, has brought with it further obstacles for MPCC and the continued struggle to try to survive this period.
It has been extremely challenging to do all we can for the Community.
In September 2020 we were very fortunate to have been awarded a Community Grant from The National Lottery Community. The generous support gained from The National Lottery Community Fund has allowed us to overcome some of those obstacles, and deliver crucial support and build a sense of togetherness during these tough times, and we cannot thank them enough!! We have subsequently received grants from The Sussex Community Foundation and Sport England to help support us, in supporting the Community
We have offered assistance with shopping, delivering prescriptions, friendly telephone chats, delivery of free hot meals (including Sunday Dinners to Senior Citizens), whilst maintaining a hub which keeps the Community connected and help combat loneliness .
We also supply Support Parcels for those who are financially struggling as well as a Community Fridge/Freezer where people can pop along for essentials or or pick up nutritious homemade meals free of charge
MPCC is the heart of our local Community where people can meet, find support and a friendly face. We will continue to adapt and offer support.
If you want to help us or need us, don’t be a stranger and remember - We are in this together!!!!
We also support local Charities/businesses with such things as fundraising events and much more
BELOW ARE JUST A FEW OF THE INITATIVES WHICH HAVE BEEN TAKING PLACE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2020 IN ORDER TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

The parcels were tailored to meet each individual's needs and consisted of 5 days of Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Snacks & Drinks . These included fresh Meat & Vegetables
MPCC also provided a trick or treat bag which included activities for the Little Ones
As well as a pumpkin for them to carve.
